First Federal of Bucks County delivered a generous gift of $12,000 to the Bucks County Opportunity Council which is dedicated to helping low-income people of Bucks County achieve and maintain economic self-sufficiency.
Bruce C. Iacobucci, First Federal’s President and CEO presented the check to Roger C. Collins, Executive Director of the Bucks County Opportunity Council, Inc. and Patti Moskauski, a recent graduate of the Self-Sufficiency Program at the banks recently opened Newtown Branch.
Since 1997 the total number of graduates from the Self-Sufficiency Program totals 182. The number of graduates that have purchased homes sine 1997 is 50. With every $1 invested in the Bucks County Opportunity Council there is a savings of $4 in government cash welfare subsidies.
Bruce Iacobucci stated: ”We’re pleased to be able to continue our support of the Bucks County Opportunity Council. In today’s economic environment the work that Roger and his agency are doing is more critical then ever. One needs to hear directly from individuals, like Patti Moskauski, who have participated in the Self-Sufficiency Program, to understand how significant and inspiring the impact is on their life and the lives of their families.“
